How we match pairs
A pair must look identical once set. We only pair two diamonds when they are the same shape, cut grade and colour grade, graded by the same laboratory, with clarity no more than one grade apart, carat weights within 0.05 ct, face-up length and width each within 0.05 mm, depth within 1.5% and table within 2%. The score starts at 100 and drops a little for every measured difference in carat, size, proportions, clarity, polish and symmetry. Fluorescence is shown for each stone but is not part of the match: at these grades it does not change how a pair looks side by side.
