Caring for your diamond ring
Diamonds are hard, but not indestructible, and gold is a precious metal that rewards a little care.
Everyday
Take your ring off for the gym, gardening, heavy lifting, swimming in chlorinated pools and cleaning with household chemicals. Put it on after lotions and perfume, which leave a film that dulls sparkle.
Cleaning at home
Soak the ring for a few minutes in warm water with a drop of mild washing-up liquid, then brush gently, especially under the diamond, with a soft toothbrush. Rinse and pat dry with a lint-free cloth.
Storing
Store your ring on its own, in its box or a soft pouch, so it does not scratch other jewellery. A diamond can scratch gold and other gems.
Check-ups
Have the prongs and setting checked once a year. If a diamond ever feels loose or you catch a prong, stop wearing the ring and contact us: craftsmanship issues are covered by our lifetime warranty.
