How our prices are built
Every Lavandela price is built from things you can check: the weight of gold in your piece, our current gold price, the diamonds it holds and the work at the bench.
The gold, weighed
Every setting we make has a measured weight of 18K gold, taken from its exact design and adjusted for your ring size or chain length. You see that weight on every design page, and it is shown in your order confirmation. 18K gold is 75% gold, and the gold in your piece is priced at our current gold price. Rather than change prices through the day, we hold a steady gold price and re-set it to the market price when gold moves more than 5% from it, up or down. Small daily movements leave your price unchanged, a large move reaches our prices in either direction, and nothing is padded to cover a price rise that has not happened.
The diamonds, counted
A setting with a halo, pavé or side stones carries a known number of natural diamonds with a known total carat weight. We list both on each design, so a pavé band is never a vague “diamond accents”. Larger side stones are priced by their size, because a 0.30 carat stone costs more per carat than a tiny one.
The work, by hand
Casting, setting and polishing happen by hand in our Dubai atelier. Designs that take longer at the bench, such as halos, bezels, three-stone heads or hand engraving, carry that work in their price; a simple solitaire does not.
Your centre diamond, live
Your centre diamond (or matched pair) is a real, independently graded natural diamond from the live market, shown with its own grading report. Its price is checked with the supplier when you add it to your bag and again before your order is placed, so the price you pay is the price of that exact stone that day.
What you will not find
No “compare at” prices and no countdown sales. Insured delivery, 30-day returns on pieces from our builders, a year of free resizing and our lifetime craftsmanship warranty are included.
